Mommy's Bathroom Always has the Good Stuff

So I was rummaging in my mom's bathroom for some face moisturizer (don't judge me). I had just washed my face and needed a product that would work well with my combination (dry/oily) skin. I saw a sample sized small pink bottle with the name Clinique Moisture Surge™ Extended Thirst Relief written on it. Hmm, what is this I thought...something new...mommy's been shopping...let me check this out. The consistency of the cream looked watery and to the touch it was gel like. I rubbed it into my face and I have to tell you there was no greasy residue (that sometimes happens after using facial moisturizers) on my face or fingers! I was excited and ash free!

Immediately I noticed a huge difference between Clinique's Moisture Surge™ Extended Thirst Relief and Clinque's Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion (which is what my mother normally purchases as a moisturizer). The Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion did moisturize well, but it was heavy and left my face looking a tad greasy.

Now I have to tell you, I'm not a big fan of Clinique products, I have never personally purchased any fragrance or cosmetic products from this company. I have only recieved gifts and used random items from my mothers bathroom when I visit her home. The sample size product is 1oz while the actual product one would purchase would either be 1.70z ($34) or 2.50z ($46.50). You get a great deal if your able to get a sample (or a few samples) of this product but as far as paying for this, and maybe on a monthly basis because of the size...the mathematics don't add up for me. However, I will accept this item as a gift as I have accepted other Clinique products in the past :)
